USUTU FORESTS PRIMARY SCHOOL

Image Intends to offer an education, which caters for the total development of the child. The school believes in the
acceptance and appreciation of individuals of every culture, creed, sex and race and values the right to education for all.

USUTU FORESTS PRIMARY SCHOOL believes that change is a constant factor in life and that education
should develop personal values and thinking processes that will enable intelligent participation in the changing world.

THE SCHOOL sees the aims of formal education including the mastery of specific and general skills and the
development of personal discipline. Learning is viewed as an unbroken activity continuing throughout life and
that formal education must provide the training and skill for independence of thought, the faculty of critical inquiry, the courage to explore, and an understanding of and tolerance for difference.

THE SCHOOL believes that a function of education is to provide students with awareness and an understanding
of the major social, economic, ecological and political issues in a changing world.

UFPS Objectives

1.  To provide a safe environment for effective education.
2.  To develop in each student a sense of personal dignity, discipline, character and an awareness of the worth
     of the individual.
3.  To ensure that each student is treated in a fair and responsible manner.
4.  To develop in each student a mastery of the skills of communication, an ability to think clearly, logically and 
     independently, a facility for learning.
5.  To provide an opportunity for each student to develop and appreciate ethical values.
6.  To develop and maintain a curriculum which emphasizes independent inquiry and experimentation, which
     stresses analysis and comprehension of situations and problems, which encourages originality and variety,
     and which places high value on self-confidence and the courage to try.
7.  To provide the student with the opportunity to experience the rich cultural heritage of Swaziland.
8.  To encourage students to apply and appreciate creativity and originality of thought through a variety of 
     aesthetic and other experiences.
9.  To provide a stable environment for a generally transient school community.
10. To provide an education based on an International oriented curriculum.
11. To promote healthy physical development and growth, and to foster individual and group.
